Local independent businesses in Brixton are having a brutal time trying to keep afloat during this latest lockdown, and when we heard that Fish Wings and Tings in Brixton Village were struggling, we said we’d be happy to give them a plug.

Located at the Coldharbour Lane entrance to Brixton Village, Fish Wings and Tings serves up all the flavours of the Caribbean, and Time Out were suitably impressed in their review:
The codfish fritters were brilliant: doughy and golden, with a creamy ginger-laced dipping sauce.
But don’t forget a plate of reggae wings (juicy chicken slathered in tangy, peppery, tongue-tingling tamarind sauce, plus a pile of sweet crushed pineapple).
Oh, and a generous heap of the curried mutton, all mingled messily with rice and peas, green beans and chutney.
The restaurant also won a Trip advisor Traveller’s Choice award last year, scoring a 4.5 rating from over 200 reviews.
Buzz offer! Customers coming to the restaurant for a takeaway can get a free soft drink with the purchase of a starter and a main.

The spices might make your eyes pop, but the prices certainly don’t!
Presumably a pre-National lockdown photo……?…..the customers featured are not wearing masks……
You don’t have to wear a mask when you’re OUTDOORS and the two people may live in the same household/be partners/none of my/your business anyway.
