Brixton on a Saturday night is a strange place these days: by 10pm, all the bars, restaurants and venues are closed but there’s plenty of people on the street, and the supermarkets and off-licences are still open to sell booze.
Here’s some photos taken around the centre of town last night:

Seven months ago, Coldharbour Lane would be a very different place, full of people, life and mayhem, with people flocking to the bars and late night clubs.
This pandemic truly sucks.

Itβs nearly 9 months now Mike. First 10 days of March were pretty mad in Brixton. And August and September was almost vibrant – compared to the West End anyway. New normal – shrugs.
I have always loved Brixton always buzzing im 71years old back in the 60s we went to the RamJam great times back then lived in Peckham and went to Peckham manor
Good. Look at these pictures. All white middle class people. I grew up in Brixton and you gentrifiers have distroyed it. F*ck the middle classes and f*ck gentrification.
I’m no fan of gentrification or the middle classes, but I can see almost as many black people as white in those photos. Get yer glasses fixed bro’!!! π
