There’s not a great deal of choice available for staying in Brixton, but with the help of posters on our bulletin boards, we’ve compiled this fairly comprehensive list of what’s currently on offer, but if we’ve missed anything, please drop us a line.
If you’re not that fussy where you stay, be sure to check out the online discount hotel sites listed at the bottom of this page as there’s often good last-minute deals to be found.
During the summer vacations Kings College and Camberwell College student accommodation is usually available, generally cheaper than hotels but obviously not so luxurious.

CENTRAL BRIXTON ACCOMMODATION:

UK’s largest hotel chain opened up an 89 room branch in Brixton in June 2016. The website says that prices start from £65, but we’ve rarely seen it dip under a £100/night. Great location though.
22 Dalyell Road – apartment
22 Dalyell Road, Brixton,
Single apartment that sleeps up to six people with two double beds and a double sofa bed.
Rates range from £90 to £110 for a maximum of 2 people – handy for a family or group of friends wanting to stay right near the middle of Brixton.

Hootananny Brixton – hostel

Cheap as chips backpacker-style accommodation, with shared rooms, bunk beds and basic facilities. Not the place to stay if you’re looking for peace and quiet as the bedrooms are right above a late night club/live venue.

This quirky and stylish hotel has picked up some great reviews and it’s one we’d definitely recommend to Brixton visitors.
New Dome Hotel, Camberwell (1 mile) – budget hotel

Cheap and not particularly cheerful hotel giving you exactly what you might expect for such a low price. Prices are around £60-£70 but there’s often cheaper deals to be found.
Be warned: the online reviews of the place are particularly ferocious.
The Belgrave Hotel, Oval (1 mile) – budget hotel

Billed as ‘affordable 4 star guest accommodation’, the Belgrave offers 34 comfortable, modern rooms, starting from £90/night with a continental breakfast lobbed in.
Located close to Oval tube and on the busy Clapham Road, it’s a short bus ride into central Brixton.

Delightfully located on the edge of Claham Common and close to Clapham Common and Clapham South tube stations, the hotel offers 29 en-suite rooms.
Almost universally well reviewed online, it’s a clean and smart place to say with the added benefit of a good real ale pub attached. Prices start around £129 a night.

Don’t expect much in the way of luxuries or space, but you can usually get a clean and reasonably priced room from the Travelodge chain.
