Brixton’s Block Porn development hits new distasteful low

Brixton's Block Porn hipster development hits new low as local complains to Advertising Standards Authority

In a display of sheer crassness and insensitivity, the people behind the development of the Block Porn ‘pukka pads’ in Brixton Road have posted a large banner above the existing nursery school and church.

The banner shows a naked female form and the words BLOCK PORN in large letters. Clearly visible to anyone attending the nursery as well as church goers, this perhaps sums up the contempt that these kind of developers have for the area they’re looking to profit from.

We did try and ask them about this but the company has a habit of blocking anyone on Twitter who dares criticise any aspect of their business, reinforcing the contempt they appear to show for the local community.

However, one local has already complained to the Advertising Standards Authority over this inappropriate advertising. If you also wish to complain, you can do so here.

The banner is also thoroughly misleading too, claiming that the ‘urban industrial apartments’ are located ‘bang in the middle of Brixton Village.’ This is a completely dishonest claim: Brixton Village is in fact 1.22km to the south.
