Brixton Buzz paid tribute to David Bowie on Friday night, hosting a sold-out charity event at the Prince Albert on Coldharbour Lane.
We’re still totting up the numbers and waiting for the payment off the ticket agency, but all profits from the event will be donated to two local music charities: Raw Material and School Ground Sounds.
The atmosphere in the Albert was lovely, with crowds heartily singing along to Bowie’s greatest songs. The only downside was the PA system which at times was bloody awful. Happily, most of the time the singing drowned out the one squawking speaker.
