Here’s some good festive news – Streatham Hill’s lively Hand in Hand Pub on New Park Road has teamed up with local charity, the Brixton Soup Kitchen to try and help out the homeless this Christmas.
Brixton Soup Kitchen is on the look out for any spare hats, gloves, scarves, sleeping bags and cash donations that locals might be able to offer to help them out this Christmas… and any charitable folk that can help out by dropping any such donations off at The Hand In Hand will be thanked and rewarded with a free festive drink.
You can choose from a hot mulled wine or a snowball (limited to one drink per person).
It’s the perfect opportunity to help out a great local charity and check out the recently refurbished pub which is set to ramp up its live schedule in the New Year and has taken on a new celebrated chef to give the menu a boost.
If you drop in to the Hand In Hand tonight, you’ll find Distant Echo playing. The pub will also open for a few hours on Christmas Day from (11:30am-2:00pm) and they have a New Year’s Eve party lined up with DJs and a live set from Suchy
