Adventurous non-league football fans looking to shake off girth-expanding excess festive mince pies may want to consider a trip to the far-flung rural flatlands of Essex to cheer on Dulwich Hamlet tomorrow.
The pink and blues look to have an easy tie against struggling Grays Athletic, who are currently stuck at the bottom of the table, registering just 5 wins out of 25 games, although football’s a funny game, formbook/window etc etc.
Last time the two teams met was at Champion Hill in September, where Dulwich Hamlet comfortably clobbered the Essex team 4-0, although that was in the less-than-prestigious Alan Turvey Trophy.
Hamlet last visited The Mill Field in December last year, where a last minute winner kept them top of thr table.
Things aren’t so rosy this year, with Dulwich grimly hanging on to a 4th placed slot in the league, although that’s at the expense of playing a lot more games than their rivals.
