There was a lot of noise being generated on the terraces at Champion Hill last night as Dulwich Hamlet battled hard to beat a stubborn Peacehaven & Telscombe team 3-1.
Peacehaven were quick to bring the game to Hamlet, and a smart save was needed by Phil Wilson to stop them from grabbing an early lead.
There was action at both ends of the field as both teams looked for an edge.
Hamlet went one up with 8 minutes ago, courtesy of a Nyren Clunis goal. Unfortunately, I was too busy attending to my beer to capture the action.

Come the second half and Hamlet looked mustard keen to increase their 1-0 lead, while there was plenty of action at the other end. This was proving to be a tight game.
The 500+ crowd served up the usual raucous repetoire of stimulating, stirring and plain silly songs.
It is indeed a horn, but it wasn’t the funkiest one you’ll ever hear.
Hamlet made it 2-0 with 13 minutes left on the clock, with the usual joyful pandemonium breaking out on the terraces.
Hamlet made it 3-0 as the crowd asceneded to new level of ectstacy.
Peacehaven pulled one back with the last kick of the game to make it 3-1, but the joy was all in the home end.
This had been a tough game that had seen Hamlet dig deep and defend hard to win. A great result.
