The weather was pretty grim but the football was sparkling as Hamlet comfortably saw off Carshalton Athletic at the Champion Hill stadium yesterday to go second in the league.
Dulwich looked in command from the start, and set up some fine passing moves despite the slippery conditions.

On 15 minutes, Dean Lodge slammed the ball low to the keeper’s right to put the Hamlet 1-0 up.

A horrible clash with the Carshalton keeper saw Harry Ottaway being carried off the field with an injury that was later confirmed to be a broken leg.

Dulwich doubled their lead at the start of the second half courtesy of a Kevin James free kick which was knocked into the onion bag by Mathieu Boyer. 2-0 to the Hamlet, and deservedly so.
The light rain soon turned into a deluge which seemed to spur on Carshalton who started to put a few moves together.

Carshalton kept up the pressure, and were rewarded with a goal when a loose shot slipped under keeper Phil Wilson to make the scoreline 2-1.
This Carshalton fan certainly seemed pleased with the goal.
Hamlet swiftly responded, and any Carshalton hopes of a fightback against the run of play were seen off with a superb goal from Erhun Oztumer to make it 3-1.
